VASER Liposuction at Terrell Clinic
At Terrell Clinic in Oklahoma City, we specialize in VASER Liposuction, a next-generation body-contouring technology that uses ultrasound energy to selectively remove unwanted fat while preserving important surrounding tissues. This advanced approach—known as LipoSelection®—allows for a smoother, more natural-looking result with less downtime than traditional liposuction.
VASER Lipo is an excellent option for patients seeking both precision sculpting and comprehensive fat reduction, whether for large areas like the abdomen or more delicate areas such as the neck and arms.
How VASER Liposuction Works
VASER Lipo utilizes ultrasonic waves to gently break apart fat cells while leaving nerves, blood vessels, and connective tissue largely intact. This process produces high-quality, viable fat that can also be purified and reused in fat transfer procedures for enhanced shaping and volume restoration.
Unlike traditional liposuction that can be more traumatic to the tissues, VASER technology emulsifies fat for easier removal and greater control, helping Dr. Terrell achieve beautifully contoured, natural-looking results.
Ideal Candidates for VASER Lipo
This procedure is ideal for individuals who:
- Want to remove stubborn fat that hasn’t responded to diet and exercise
- Desire more definition and smoother curves
- Prefer a less invasive treatment with faster recovery
- Are considering fat transfer for added volume in other areas
Common treatment areas include the abdomen, waist, flanks, thighs, back, arms, neck, and chest.
Procedure & Healing Process
The treatment begins with the injection of a tumescent saline solution into the targeted area. This solution numbs the tissue, shrinks blood vessels to minimize bleeding, and helps prepare fat for removal. Then, small probes are inserted through tiny incisions to deliver ultrasound energy, loosening and liquefying fat cells.
The liquefied fat is gently suctioned out using a fine cannula, reducing trauma to the surrounding tissue. The result: smoother contours and less bruising.
VASER Liposuction is performed under local anesthesia in the comfort of our private surgical suite. The procedure typically lasts between one to several hours, depending on the number of areas treated. Afterward, patients wear compression garments to support skin retraction and optimize results.
Most patients rest for about 12 hours post-procedure, returning to light activities shortly thereafter. Strenuous exercise should be avoided for about two to three weeks.
Bruising usually subsides within six to eight weeks, and your body’s contours will continue to refine as swelling decreases and collagen production improves over time.
Long-Lasting Results
You’ll notice visible improvement almost immediately after your procedure, with continued enhancement as your body heals. Because fat cells are permanently removed, results are long-lasting when maintained through a healthy lifestyle and stable weight.
At Terrell Clinic, we take a personalized approach to ensure each patient’s body-contouring goals are met safely and beautifully.
Patient Testimonials
“Every person that works for Dr. Terrell was so kind and helpful. Ashley has been the best as far as answering all the questions I have had. I was also very happy with the facility. When I walked in the surgery room and Dr. Terrell was playing Christian music, I knew this was the place for me and I was at peace during the procedure. I’m still in my compression garment and haven’t seen my stomach yet, but it already looks flat from what I can see thru the garment.” –Terrell Clinic Patient*
“The staff felt like family and the facility was extremely comfortable.” –Terrell Clinic Patient*
“I am very happy with the lipo [arms]. I went down at least one to two blouse sizes. In addition, the staff made me feel special! Like family!” –Terrell Clinic Patient*
