Botox® at Terrell Clinic
Botox® is an FDA approved prescription medication, composed of a highly purified botulinum toxin protein, that temporarily reduces muscle activity in order to treat moderate-to-severe crow’s feet and frown lines. It works beneath the surface of the skin to reduce the muscle movement that causes these lines over time.
The lines that appear between your brows actually result from muscle movement and the passage of time. When these powerful muscles between the brows contract, they draw the brows together, causing the skin to fold or furrow. As skin becomes less elastic with age, those folds or furrows result in stubborn, unwanted lines. Because frown lines are dynamic lines caused by overactive muscles, they can usually be treated with tiny injections of Botox®.
Botox® is used to treat the appearance of:

- Fine Wrinkles
- Excessive Sweating
Depending on the area being treated, the doctor will inject three to five doses of Botox®. Within a few days, you will see a marked improvement in the fine lines and wrinkles that were treated.* Results continue to improve for up to 30 days and can last for up to 4 months.
