What Is Medical Microneedling?
Medical Microneedling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), is a minimally invasive treatment that uses precise micro-needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin. How Medical MicroNeedling works:
A sterile needle-tip containing 12 tiny micro-needles is attached to the Medical MicroNeedling Pen. Under Dr. Terrell’s medical supervision, your skincare professional will apply a thin layer of topical gel to your skin and select the appropriate treatment depth based on your unique needs. Next, in a single motion, the pen will be gently pressed against the skin while simultaneously gliding in one direction until the entire treatment area has been covered.
What to Expect During Treatment
Your licensed skincare professional will cleanse your skin and apply a soothing gel before using the SkinPen Precision device to glide across the treatment area. The sensation is often compared to light sandpaper brushing the skin — quick, tolerable, and comfortable thanks to the device’s rapid oscillation.
Treatment time typically ranges from 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the area treated.
After Treatment and Healing
Immediately after treatment, your skin may appear flushed or slightly red — similar to a mild sunburn — for about 24–48 hours. Most patients resume normal activities the next day with minimal downtime.
As your skin heals, collagen remodeling continues for weeks, revealing a smoother, firmer, and more youthful appearance. Optimal results develop over the following 4–6 weeks, and continue improving for up to six months.

Recommended Treatment Plan
While some patients see visible improvement after just one session, most benefit from a series of 3 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart for best results. For deeper wrinkles, scars, or stretch marks, a series of 6 treatments may be recommended.
